Privacy Policy | Chess Hub

Last updated: October 19, 2026

Chess Hub (chess-resources.com) is a free directory of chess tournaments, camps and coaches in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. This page explains what information the site collects and how it is used. We collect as little as we can.

Information we collect automatically
Like most websites, this site records basic visit data through Wix’s built-in analytics: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, referring site, and your IP address. We use it only to see how the site is used and to keep it working. We do not use it to identify individual visitors, and we do not sell it.

Cookies
The site uses cookies that Wix needs to run the site and to measure visits. We do not run advertising, we do not use third-party trackers, and we do not use the site to track you across other websites.

Feedback form
The feedback form asks only for your role in the local chess community (for example, player, parent, coach or organizer), plus any comments you choose to write. It does not ask for your name or contact details. The form is provided by Google Forms. If you are signed in to a Google account, the form states that your account email is not shared with us. We use responses only to improve the site. Google’s handling of form data is governed by Google’s own privacy policy.

Information about tournaments, camps and coaches
Listings on this site come from public event pages and organizer announcements. We list organization and event details (event names, dates, venues, fees and registration links). We do not publish personal details about private individuals. If you believe a listing is inaccurate, or you want a listing about you or your event changed or removed, email us and we will review the request promptly.

Links to other sites
Listings link to organizer and registration sites that we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own. Please read their policies before you enter personal information, especially for registrations.

Children
This site is meant for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
